She was a member of a Dynize tribe in western Fatrasta, and served as a scout for Taniel's regiment, helping them to track Kez Privileged through the Fatrastan Wilds. She became Taniel's personal spotter, and later his companion, staying by his side when he returned to Adro.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
Ka-Poel has short, reddish orange hair, and freckles across her nose. She has green eyes and looks younger than she actually is, which is around nineteen. She has a slim figure and a small chest, and is rather short. She often wears a long trench coat.
Personality[edit | edit source]
Ka-Poel is a mostly stoic type. She is exceptionally loyal to those she considers to friends and who have saved her life in the past.
Though she is shown to be strong and powerful in her own right, she has a childlike outlook, but despite this, other characters see her as wise.
Powers/Abilities[edit | edit source]
Tracking[edit | edit source]
She can track Privileged to perfection, even utilizing a single hair to do so. She has a stronger tracking power than most Predeii as shown when she was able to track Rozalia when Julene could not.
Other[edit | edit source]
Not a lot is known about Ka-Poel's powers. She is said to be extremely powerful and makes even Predeii, such as Rozalia and Julene, uncomfortable. Taniel mentions that she is a sort of Dynizian Privileged. She is likely the equivalent of a Bone-eye Predeii, as she is significantly more powerful than Ka-Sedial, the Dynize Bone-eye war master. She is however, self taught, whereas he has has formal training. We do not now how much more powerful she has become since her battle at Kresim Kurga. She has been practicing in the Landfall mortuary on corpses supplied by emerald.
We see a glimpse of her powers, when she syphons the blood of the fallen after the battle of Landfall, to magically seal one of the 3 godstones.
"Ka" is referenced as a title given to Bone-eye sorcerers belonging to the Dynize Royal Family, and it's likely that her bloodline has something to do with the Dynize civil war.
Bo says the protective spells she wove around Taniel are especially strong.
